We were able to take a family camping trip to GrandJean. It's a really pretty place to camp and it didn't get to hot. I had told Brandon that for my birthday I wanted to go camping and so he took me. We did some hiking, roasted marshmellows, played games, went to the hot springs, and had Brayden's birthday. Since his birthday was going to be when we were camping I made some cupcakes before hand and took up his presents so he could open them. Brandon's sister Kathleen was able to come up for one night and we took Deven with us. Deven had so much fun and didn't want to go home.
Since Deven didn't get a cake for his birthday we let him blow out a candle too. When it was time to eat their cupcakes Brandon thought it would be funny to smash Brayden's cupcake into his face when he went to eat it. Deven thought it was funny and wanted it done to him as well. Here they are with frosting all over their faces.

Brayden's Grandma Hallam sent him a gift and I saved it to take up camping. He loved being able to open presents and loved the outfit his Grandma bought him. He wants to wear it everyday but unfortunately it's still too hot outside.

We bought Brayden some trains which he loves. These are Gordon and Annie and Clarabel that go with his other Thomas the Trains.

It was so windy on this day. It took forever to get the candles lit and when we did they didn't make it through "Happy Birthday". Brayden went to blow out his candles but the wind had already done it. Luckily he didn't care.

This is after Brandon smashed the cupcake in his face. He thought it was hilarious.

My cute little 3 year old.

Here are the birthday boy and his favorite cousin. Brayden wouldn't have wanted to share his special day with anyone else.

We found this old tree and the boys loved playing on it. They were scared of it until I sat on it and held it down.
(Kathleen, Brooklyn, Maria, Brayden, and Deven)

Poor Brooklyn was the only one who got stung by mosquitos. She got bit three times on the head before I was able to spray her. They were huge bites and swelled up a lot. Kathleen kept saying that she looked like one of the Shrek babies with the horn things. She didn't bother them though and by the next day they were better.

This is the first night of making smores. The boys couldn't wait and made sure they ate all of their dinner so they could have some. They were really good smores makers.
